Ok... how can i tell my mom that i want our entire family to move to NYC???? I'm now living in Malaysia..?

Do you have a job set up?

What education and/or training do you have to be able to work here?

Or is it just that you see it on TV and think it looks glamorous?

It's very expensive to live here, and without a skill you won't be able to make a living here.

As a native New Yorker, now living in Florida, there are better  states for your family to make a new start. New York is undergoing major reconstruction right now and vastly over crowded. try the Carolinas, Virginia maybe even Massachusetts if you want to live close to NY. NY is not a place to begin a new life unless you are an artist(which i am), lawyer or doctor(in my opinion). But hey, if this is your dream, go for it. Only way to tell your mom is to do your homework about NY and give reasons why it is a good idea to move there.

Well....why don't you just ask and then beg and then if she doesn't say yes maybe just bug her for another year. But NYC is really expensive.
