Ok i'm looking for a movie about a fugitive?

no the movie i'm looking for is not called the fugitive but its about this guy who holds up a bank and takes a hostage with him or something like that the guy who held the bank has a mute daughter and gradually through the movie the little girl opens up to the hostage and they go on this little adventure..not sure what happens then at the end the little girl talks

i saw this a really long time ago so i'm not sure on some od the details but that's the gist of it and i'd really like to see again so please help

I think the movie you are looking for is called Three Fugitives starring Nick Nolte and Martin Short.

The story is about a man (Martin) who holds up a bank and takes Nick Nolte hostage. Martin has his little girl with him and she doesn't speak. She and Nick start to bond and at one point she is placed in an orphanage and Nick and Martin have to break in and get her out. I hope this helps.
