  1. Palmdale, CA.  I lived in Cali my whole life.  Then I moved out.  Im on my way to move back, but the cheapest place has to be Palmdale, Lancaster desert area's.  It's still 45 minutes away from everything.

  2. Hi, i'm a California native. I would suggest browsing online home prices for the San Francisco Bay Area (where I live), Los Angeles area, or San Diego area. Search these Metro areas first, and then search in other areas such as Fresno, Bakersfield, Santa Cruz. There are great, affordable deals on nice homes, you just have to look.

  3. anywhere in northern cali is cheap... right now u can find any house for cheap out here cause of foreclosures...

  4. If you want California and cheap, try buying a weather-resistant hut in Death Valley. If that still is too much then you might have to settle for the California in El Salvador. Link provided below.

You could probably buy a house there for $600 if you can overlook it having no plumbing/toilet and that you have to use a chamber pot. :-P

    Hope this helps.

  5. check in areas that are not urban or along the coast.  Woodland, CA is about 17 miles outside of Sacramento (our capitol) and 10 miles north of UC Davis.  The rent is cheap there he only pays about $400 a month.  Also in the semi-rural suburban areas in the San Joaquin Valley like Fresno, Bakersfield, and Redding.  These places don't really scream "CALIFORNIA" but it's here on the west coast and they're cheaper than tha SF Bay Area (where I live).  If you're thinking of going to school or working here, check for that stuff too.  All the tech jobs are in the bay area, and all the hollywood jobs are down south.  Good luck!

  6. cal is the most corrupt expensive place you could be looking for

  7. California? No where. Nothing is cheap there. Absolutely nothing.

  8. Downtown LA has some good deals since the housing market crashed, otherwise, get a good (but honest) real estate agent.

  9. my boy friend is on california and he sais no where is cheap :((
