tell me....what DV means...I know what DVD means but this just says...DV....anyone know?

oh yeah...and if yall have other sites to go to, let me know

  1. It stands for digital video. Its a very tiny tape that uses high-res photography. They are really good quality,but you can only watch them with your camera, or your tv through your camera.

    If you can afford it, go with the DVD recorder.


  2. DV stands for Digital Video - chances are you're looking at a MiniDV camcorder.  If you want to capture your video and edit it on a PC before burning a DVD then this is the best format.  DVD camcorders are a nightmare!

    You capture the video using firewire rather than USB.  If your PC hasn't already got one you'll need to install a firewire card.  They're cheap, easy to install and readily available.  You can capture and edit your footage using Windows Movie Maker, though it can't burn a DVD.  For that you can use something like DVD Flick.  If you get into video editing there are lots of commercial apps out there that do a better job than WMM - Sony's Vegas Movie Studio is a good choice.
