  1. Here's the deal: at that level and all through high school any coach worth his whistle is going to put his best athlete at quarterback.  It doesn't matter how fast or strong or smart a player is.  The best athlete will be the quarterback.  You ever wonder why you see all these guys in college playing DB or WR but then you hear the commentator say, "so and so used to play quarterback in high school"?  Because, you guessed it, they were the best athletes on their team so the coach had them under center.

If you want to play QB you need to focus on 3 three things:

    1) conditioning

    2) practice harder than every other player on the field

    3) listen to and buy into every word your coach says

Also keep in mind that football is a team sport and it doesn't matter what position you play as long as you are helping the team win either on the field during a game or on the practice field.

    Good luck.

P.S.: legend has it that Tim Tebow could throw a football 50 yards through the air from a kneeling position as a freshman in HS.  If you have an arm like that you've got a good shot :)

  2. At that level you don't have to have a rocket on your shoulder or anything, accuracy is the most important thing of all.
