  1. yes if done so properly, they can track the IP address and contact your internet provider and then the local authorities (depending on what you are up to)

If it's a dumb little game you are playing and it's not criminal you have nothing to worry about but you can be traced.

  2. Always. This is illegal, if is a serious form of fraud. It might also qualify as identity theft and misrepresentation. Whichever way it is worth about 30 years in prison. It is not very clever to go shouting in public about your illegal activities, especially on a site controlled by regulators who have now seriously logged all your details (not just your email address) to keep for the legally required 7 years.

  3. Every email address, whether commercial or private has a "code" I guess you could call it, attached to it.  Something like 120.856.26, everyones is different.    And YES, it can be tracked back to you.

  4. You can be tracked by your IP address. If you are using the internet at your house that is in your or your parents name then yes you can be tracked. The IP used to do whatever it is you are doing, is logged by your ISP, so they know who had that IP at that particular time. If you are using someone elses IP, like hopping onto someone's unsecured wireless, then you could still be tracked, but it would make it a bit harder. Depending on what you do and the importance of it, anything you do can be tracked. Anonymous proxies are supposed to be helpful, but in reality if someone pressured the owner of the proxy they would cough up your info very quickly.

  5. Yes of course they will know by your IP address they or anyone can find out right down to what street you are in but they need a court order to get your actual address from your internet service providor...

  6. So you want to be invisible and hide your identity? :)

Create a new yahoo email account and choose a screen name that has nothing to do with you (does not reveal your personality or the things that you like ) and in the required fields: name/last name/ address again fill them with stuff that nobody can guess.

Yes, the IP address of a sender can be revealed but depends how technical the person that you are dealing with is!!! Even if they reveal the IP address they can locate the city and zip code still don't know who sended it cause Service Providers (ISPs) don't give that information out.

    Hope this helps Mr. 007
