Ok- i enjoy these things, what job is good for me....?

Question

please dont laugh but i like doing the following things and i was wondering what kind of job is good for me?

- i like decorating plates (garnishing them)

-making gift baskets

-cutting fruit and putting it on trays

i really dont want to go to school so please keep that in mind

You've had some good suggestions.  Perhaps you can work for a florist or local company that makes gift baskets.  Get some experience under your belt and then if you like it you might be able to go out and start your own business.

The Mary Kay suggestion was good, if you like sales and are comfortable speaking and presenting to people.  You can also consider Home Interiors, Avon or jewelry sales too.  

When I was in college I worked for a catering organization.  I had to waitress too but worked up to a manager position where I got to put out the table decorations, lay out buffets, and such and that was kind of interesting.  It could be a way to get a job right now if you need one immediately.

you can sell for Mary Kay and other makeup companies, have Mary Kay parties you can host with your appetizer trays. make and sell gift baskets, cause people always need them. sale your decorative plates, people love to decorate.

What about fashion design or interior designer? Seems like you have creativity. However you may need some schooling.

Hi!  Maybe you could work for a caterer and learn the trade.  If you have a good work ethic, willing to work hard, be responsible and don't mind working nights and weekends (just part of the food industry) I bet you could talk someone into hiring you.  Hotels often have a catering department also, but a lot of time you get moved into different positions when there isn't parties to cater.  Worth a shot though.  Just had a third idea, many grocery stores do platters of food for people out of their delis, or just delis that do platters in general!

any kind of craft store lets you give classes to kids if you are good. it payes pretty good
