  1. The doctors aren't spose to let your pregnancy go that late hun.  Yes sue them.  It's their fault.  I'm sorry for your loss.  It's not easy losing a baby :(

  2. Oh yes, suing totally helps. All it does is give you money and takes away from other people. It's not going to make it any easier for you.

  3. if you sue them its not going to help. it just makes it look like you're out for money. they probably were only trying to do what they thought was best anyway.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss, there are no words I can offer.

My son swallowed his merconium too although he is ok.

I just can not understand how they let you go 3 weeks over,as far as I know, the placenta starts to break down after 2 weeks..

I would definately get a consultation with a lawyer, even if it is just to kick those reckless drs up the bum.

  5. talk to a lawyer about it. don't pay for a consultation, but ask a lawyer that you have a concern and you are unsure whether counsel is needed or not. Then explain what happened.

  6. it just consumes your time and keeps you dwelling on it instead of accepting it and making peace with it. my cousin was born 5 weeks late and ended up with cerebral palsy. my aunt and uncle sued. they got money but thats it. didnt help them. 12 yrs later he still has it. the doctors probably dont even remember it.

so it doesnt really matter if you do or dont.

  7. I was born three weeks late as well, but it was probably because my mother smoked during her pregnancy. The doctors did not make the baby stay in there longer, you just weren't ready to give birth.

  8. I am so, so, sorry for your loss.  I can't even imagine your pain.  I know you want to punish (I sure the heck would)  I don't know about suing, but they should have NEVER let you go 3 weeks late.  That is most likely why your baby died.  Again, you have time, just grieve and try to heal as much as you can.  Your baby is in heaven and is still with you and never has to deal with the pain in this life.  (Doesn't make it any easier, but trust me, your baby is fine now)

  9. The same thing happend to my little brother he did end up living but. I don't think suing would do you any good. God had a plan. Pray about it and ask God what he wants you to do.

  10. My answer to this question is you do whatever will give you peace.  If it makes you feel good to find justice then please do that.  If it is too much stress for you then don't pursue the lawsuit.  You could also demand a meeting with the hospital, make them explain, and demand that they put together something to prevent this in the future.  Or you could just put it all aside and grieve.  This is a time for you and your family.  Trust your intuition.
