  1. The first thing you should know is that rubbing alcohol does not completely sterilize things.Neither does flame, boiling water, or any of the other methods that a lot of people assume work.

They don't sterilize the guns, next time save some money and go get it done with a real professional piercer , HURTS LESS and there qualified  to pierce your body with the right equipment and in a sterile environment, Guns are NOT STERILE and can spread life-threatening diseases like hepatitis and HIV.,flesh eating bacteria.

However you choose to have a  body part pierced, make sure the place where you are having your piercing done is a clean, no smoking zone. The person carrying out the piercing should wash their hands beforehand and wear surgical gloves during the process. The surgical gloves should be thrown away straight after use. If you are unsure about the person carrying out the piercing, or the premises they are practising from, then go elsewhere.

Keep using sea salt and don't touch it , and if u have to wash your hands first

    Good luck

  2. u r cleaning it right with the warm salty water this will stop infection  alone i dont think u need the whisky . i dont think u will have any problems with it

  3. Congratulations, you've managed to find a 'piercer' with no standards or training!

Lol, whiskey? Methinks your friend may have had a little too much whisky herself then, just stick to salt water (preferably non-iodized sea salt but table salt will usually do the trick, stay away from epsom salts as they're not even salt) twice a day to clean away the 'crusties' when they begin to form

There's a great big shiny page on aftercare over here: http://safepiercing.org/bodyAftercare.ht...

Being a cheapass teenager is no reason to care that little about your body.

  4. i wouldnt have recommended getting it done with a earring gun but whats done is done right? hopefully it wouldnt make a lot of difference. i would advise you to change the stud as soon as it has healled properly (in about 4-6 weeks) as it sounds like a cheap stud ( and probably a bigger size stud than normal, so it would fit the piercing gun, so it would leave a bigger scar etc). and this may be a reason why the piercing may not heal as well as it should.

i wouldnt worry to much about it if its ok now jus make sure you wash it alot ( about 3 times a day, just turning a little with clean hands, unless the scab is stopping it turning, then dont turn it, and dont touch in unnescesseraly)

warm salt water it good as it promotes healing and scabs, make sure you dont try to get the scab of as this will leave the hole without any cover to prevent infection. i myself have never really thought about putting whiskey on a piercing but can understand why you would as it is alcohol, but there is many more effective and cheaper things to put on the piercing, such as diluted surgical spirit ( which you can easily get from any pharmacy ) and if it looks like its getting infected just put a little diluted antiseptic on it ( i use TCP )

  5. Ya and your a cheappass here as well see a dotor if you want advice

  6. The only thing you should get pierced with a gun are your earlobes. You should probably take it out, see a doctor get some antibiodics to fight possible infection. You should let it heal, and after that if you still want it pierced get it done properly. You can keep it how it is now, but the gun makes a different kind of puncture and will most likely leave a larger scar if you ever decide to remove the piercing in the future. Getting it done with a needle large scars are less likely. Whatever you do kep it clean, use the salt water and antibacterial soap.

  7. It could get infected. Which if bit treated correctly, the infection could spread throughout your body and you could die...No Joke. Your best bet to keep it clean would be to use Wound Wash Saline. And if it starts to get infected take it out. A nose piercing honestly isn't that much money. I think it would be like 50-60 bucks tops. Your face is very sensitive, and no place to mess around with.

PS How are your parents going to feel? Chances are probably not good, so you should probably just take it out, keep it clean while it heals, and wait until your old enough to get it professionally done so you don't have to worry as much.

  8. I got mine done with an earring gun, too. Once it didn't hurt so bad, I got a regular nose s***w and replaced the earring so that it would heal down to the regular size. I never had any problem with infection at all. I just cleaned it every day with peroxide. It healed pretty quick. Good luck.

  9. Ahhh yeh it aint the best way, but its still ok dnt worry.

As long as you aint having any problems.

    And you keep it clean

    It will be fine

Just alot harder to change it first time.

Maybe keep it in an extra month

  10. they shouldnt pierce with guns but if you have no problems now then you be ok just carry on cleaning it in salt water.

  11. I can't believe someone actually did it for you!! Just don't go back to them ever again, lmao. Now as long as you keep it clean it can heal properly I have seen some heal properly, the biggest problem my friend found when she got her done was that is was just done with a ear stud and wasn't gauged for proper nose jewelery, so she had to stretch it a little and it got infected then and stuff. So you may want to take it out and just get it done with a needle. If you want to keep it, just make sure it is nice and clean until you can put a proper nose stud in it.

And next time get your peircings done by soneone who knows what they are doing :P

  12. Don't worry, first of all. The fact that you have been cleaning it means you're probably NOT going to get an infection let alone die.

Just use the warm salty water (I would recommend not using the whiskey) and clean it, back and front, twice a day.

Try not to touch it or irriate it too much otherwise (like when you're blowing/wiping your nose).

Keep the stud in for a few weeks before you think of changing it and odds are you're going to be fine.
