Ok i had xp and i knew how to make the font size for my desktop icons largers, can you do it for vista!?

i cant seem to find any way to make my desktop icons for my comp that runs on vista. I mainly need it for the voice recognition my wife uses because of her paralysis. so any help would be great!

  1. Right click on the background of your computer and click personalize, then on the left side of the screen that pops up click "adjust font size (DPI)", this should make all of the fonts larger.  If this does not work, if you change the resolution to a smaller resolution the icons will be bigger but blurrier.


  2. In Vista, go to your Desktop, right click anywhere there's not an icon, and click Personalize. Over on the left-hand size there should be a button that says "Adjust Font Size (DPI)."

    Click that, bump the font size to the larger option, restart, and you should be good.

    Otherwise, you could try lowering the resolution of your monitor, which will make everything seem larger, at the loss of clarity and crispness, as it's actually just stretching a smaller amount of pixels to fit on to your larger monitor. However, this will definitely increase the font size of the screen in the event the first option fails.
