  1. doe she like video games get her some challingeing ones

  2. I guess getting her some books to read is out of the question?

  3. I would try calling some of her friends parents and try to arrange for her to spend a day or two at her friends house.  I would also try to find a teen that lived close by that could come and hang out with her during the day.

  4. see if she can volenteer herself in something she is interested in..with animals or hairdressing/bookshop..see if there is a family member who can help.  Will be a great opportunity to discover and learn more while having a blast.  Hope this helps.

  5. See if there are some good day camps in your area.  Does she have any particular interests or hobbies, or is there something she would like to learn (like tennis?).  Or would she like going to sleepaway camp?  I went to camp every summer for a month from age 6 to age 11, and it was one of my fondest experiences from childhood (the only reason I stopped going was that the camp changed owners and the tuition almost doubled, so my mother couldn't afford it for both my sister and me).

Choose something where she will be outside, getting lots of exercise, and meeting other kids.  She will be a lot happier than just hanging out at home.

EDIT:  Duh!  I was speaking about summer break.  I misread your post.

Well, since spring break is only a week long, maybe you could arrange for her to get together with her friends over the break--sometimes at your house and sometimes at theirs.  I'mnot sure what the weather is like where you are, but there are always movies, bowling, shopping, and other things that she could do with her friends.

  6. Have her do chores like cleaning and organizing stuff and pay her for it. Then take her to spend her money. thta's what my parents did when I was a kid, and by the time that week was over our house looked like something out of martha stewart

  7. You can send her to camp or see this site.

  8. Take her to the library.  Have her check out books.  When she is finished open the book to random pages and ask her questions.  If she can answer 9 or 10 questions correctly give her a reward.
