i have a proto pm8 i have i pure enrgy 72ci 3000 psi will that be enough to power it or will i have to get a new one and what kind?

Thats fine.

It will only get you about 720 shots.

A tank with a higher pressure and CI capacity will give you more shots.

The general rule for number of shots per tank is:

10 Shots per CI at 3000PSI

15 Shots per CI at 4500PSI
