ok i used to always run to tone up my body, but ever since summer has come around, its SOO hot outside and humid that i cant stand to run in it..im just wondering if i should just bear with the heat and sweat and thirst and all those horrible feelings wen i run, or is there another way that makes up for running that i could do inside or something?

  1. I live where the temp is 100 degrees plus and I still run. The important thing is to stay well hydrated to avoid heat exhaustion or more importantly heat stroke. Just bring water or Gatorade on your run and stop if you feel it is too much on your body.

  2. Try running early in the morning or later in the afternoon.  Its much cooler outside during those times.  You could also swim (that is very good cardio)

  3. I was an avid jogger, and I know exactly how you feel.  I tried jogging in the heat, and found it just wasn't doing it for me either.  So, I started jogging in the early morning hours.  I have a park nearby that opens up at 5 a. m., and I would get there when it opened.  I missed all the crowds, plus it was cooler.  If that doesn't work for you, then I would try swimming.

You can really burn some serious calories that way, and keep yourself in shape at the same time.
