  1. well if he doesn't eat it it will die I do know a lot of people feed feeder goldfish to their salt water fish

and is the statement his mouth is from here to here like a guy saying

<-------------------------------------... this is one inch ??

  2. Yes I feed my porc's live fish all the time. He won't eat snails period. The chance of your fish catching something from live food is slight to none.  since you have a puffer you more than likely already have shells or rocks in the tank for his teeth.

I use feeder goldfish, guppies and minnows They are really cool to watch them scale the fish before they eat it.

  3. Shellfish and crustaceans would be much better, healthier choices than fish.  Not only will they provide a way to grind down the fish's beak, but it runs a FAR lower chance of carrying pathogens into the tank.  Also, freshwater fish won't last much more than 20 minutes in the tank before dying, and the Puffer won't likely show all that much interest.
