  1. I usually say to breathe and relax first since that is most important, but you already have that figured out.

Practice your serve starting from the 10 foot line.  Make 5 and take 1 step back.  Make 5 and take 1 step back.  Keep doing this until you are standing at the end line.  One of your problems might be confidence in your serve.  If you do not think you can get it over, you can not get it over.

    Call every ball LOUDLY.

Hustle on every play, even if everyone else is jogging or walking.

If you mess up, take a deep breathe and forget about it.  Everyone makes mistakes.  You do not want to make 2 mistakes in a row.  Or 3.  Or more in a row.

If one of your team mates messes up, go try to encourage them and mean it.

If your coach corrects you, tell them "thank you, I will work on that" and mean it.

When your coach is talking, you need to be listening.  Not talking.

If you are having a problem in a skill, ask the coach and use your "thank you..." answer from above.

    Good luck

  2. The best thing to do is to be really coachable. When a coach tells you to change something say ok and change it. Don't talk back or anything. Another thing is to try to work well with the people you're playing with to show you are a team player.
