Question:

Ok i know that going without sleep at all is bad for you but is it bad if you sleep during the day

and are awake at night??? ive been doing that but not on purpose and im trying to get out of it its just extremely hard to do.

  1. If you're still getting the required amount of sleep, i don;t see a problem with it. Think of all the people that work night shifts. They have to sleep during the day.

    To get out of your bad habit, I suggest that you try an sleep at night, if you don't get any sleep, just try and stay awake as much as possible the next day until you find a time suitable that you can sleep until morning.

    I'm no expert though.


  2. its not bad for you just as long as your getting 8-9 hours. i work nights so i sleep in the day, and i have done this for 8 years and i have no problems.

  3. as long as your body is getting enough sleep and rest there will be no harm done!

  4. I used to do that when I worked nights at a local donut shop. If your body is used to being asleep during the day and awake at night, there won't be a problem.

    If you need to stay awake during the day in a hurry, the coffee pot is your friend! Try to stay up during the day so you will sleep well at night. Admittedly, I was in something of a a rush when I did that so it's not the best possible cure- but it works.

  5. If you maintain a constant cycle where you stay awake at night and still get 6-8 hours during the day, your body's biological clock will adapt to this pattern and treat it as if it's normal for you!
