And what's the problem? Who cares what your friends think, you are the one that is going to have to date him, if you like him than like him for who he is, not what your friends think. Do you let your friends opinions make all your decisions in life?

why does it matter what your friend thinks? you like him, not her.  you do what you want to do.  if you give in to her, that's called peer pressure.  from experience in middle school, the friends who usually said stuff like that are generally jealous and want you all to themselves.

it shouldnt matter what your friends think of him... and besides his looks you should think about if he has a good fun personality cause that is what lasts in the long run (dont get me wrong i totally believe you have to be physically attracted to someone.. but that isnt all of it!)

go with what you think, dont let other people control your life.  Ifs hes a nice person and you like him, go for it!!!! You and your friend prolly just have different types, or something.  You need to be more self confident and make choices for yourself and learn to just not care what others say, live your life to the fullest and have fun, dont let other people put you down or tell you what you can and can't do.
