i have a LG 37lc7d = 37 inch lcd LG tv. i want to hook up my colby CS-P94 surround speakers to the tv.

on the back of the tv it says "digital audio out".

of course the connections dont match between the speakers and the tv. is there and adapter or some way i can hook these up???

please note: i recently bought a playstation 3 and that is why the speakers were taken out of our old dvd player which is no longer there.

  1. hmm so you have a speaker that used to be connected to your old DVD player and you want to connect that to the TV?

are you sure there's only digital out jack on the TV?

if so, sound like you need to buy some sound system that supports digital in and connect it to your TV so you can use the speakers for both regular TV and PS3.

  2. Let me start by saying....  The speakers in the TV will sound better.

"this is not the optimal setup" The speakers you mentioned do not have digital inputs.

There are two audio out (red and white) analog connectors on the back of the tv.  You can hook up a set of RCA cables and run them to your speakers.

It will not be a surround setup though.  The analog connectors are only left and right.

in other words, you won't be happy with the sound......  You can find a cheap alternative all in one box solution with optical in that will perform much better.

  3. I wouldnt use these on the tv. They will sound like c**p. Find a cheap surround system.
