  1. Don't do fishing line. It'll cut right through your nose like cheese wire.

They make retainers for nostril rings. They're little pieces of clear or skin tone plastic that you put in there. Not really noticeable, but it kind of looks like a pimple from up close. You can purchase these at a Hot Topic or Claire's store in the mall or order them online. They usually come in a pack of three nose studs, and the other two are regular metal nose studs.

Also, you might not want to replace it with a retainer until after the allotted healing time. Not so sure why, but piercers advise against this. If it's healed properly, you could probably take the jewelry out until after a game or practice with little chance that it'll close up.

  2. ask the people where u got it done & see what they say...

its up to them & your nose ahah

  3. I have to take my eyebrow ring out for class at my college (I go to culinary school) So I went to Spencers and found a clear one, they are awesome and they are virtually invisible. My chefs did'nt even notice,  They have them for almost every piercing and i KNOW they have one for the nose.

    Hope this helps girl!

  4. I wouldn't put finishing line in there... not because it could get infected, but because it could get caught on something and get ripped out.

Can you wear a clear nose stud retainer?
