Question:

Ok i used my ipod till it had no battery left and now it wont charge. whats the deal and what do i do? thanks?

what i mean is. i have tried to charge it all of one day and most of another and the battery will charge to maybe a 3rd of the way full and then no matter how long i charge it the ipod wont get all the way charged. thanks so much for everyones answers!!!

  1. When you say "it won't charge," what exactly do u mean?

    Like someone else suggested, restarting the computer might help. Reinstalling iTunes won't do anything, since that has nothing to do with the iPod's battery.

    You could try installing the latest drivers onto your computer from the Apple site: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538


  2. Ive had this problem before, however I dont remember exactly how I solved it but it was one of either two things.

    1.  I simply restarted my computer(which you've probably already done)

    2.  I completely uninstalled Itunes and then reinstalled it.

    If neither of those work, then at least you know it's a hardware problem with your ipod.  And that would really suck.

  3. well, if there is no battery left, then there is nothing to charge.  I don't know how you ended up with no battery but as soon as you put a battery in, I'm sure it will work fine.
