  1. I started with acoustic, and I suggest you do as well: You have to press the strings down harder and that'll build up your finger strength. It also gives way to starting calluses (which is hard skin on your fretting fingers that prevents them from getting sore).

  2. Choosing which type of guitar you want to start out with can be difficult. There are many differences between the two such as the sound it produces. I would suggest that you start out with the acoustic guitar because the electric can be tricky with all the wires and buttons and k***s to deal with. But the electric is easier to play because the strings are lighter and the width of the frets is smaller than the acoustic. With the acoustic guitar you have to push down harder on the strings and stretch your hand more. It also depends on the type of music you listen to. If you like rock than you would probably think that the electric comes easier because you are more motivated to play that type of music like your favorite song or something. But if you are more into the soft acoustic music than the acoustic is better because you are more motivated to play that. So you can't really decide which is easier because it really depends on the person.

    Hope This Helped! Good Luck!

  3. No difference. Except if your small then electric would be easier to hold.

  4. acoustic no doubt, acoustic has thicker strings than electric, acoustic is harder to play chords and stuff like that, but once u get it down on acoustic and switch to electric its sooooooo much easier i sware! go with acoustic bro, and also u dont have to worry about amps and stuff like that

  5. acoustic...start low and work your way up!!! Next thing you know, your a rock star!!!

  6. Probably acoustic because electric you have to deal with wires and those k***s on the sides. Plus acoustic is more basic.

  7. It's generally a bit easier to play an electric guitar.  the strings are closer to the frets, plus you generally use a lighter gauge of strings.

  8. i would defeintly suggest an acoustic.i started out with an acoustic.the reason you need to start out with an acoustic is because if you start out with the electric first, you dont have to push down on the strings so hard.so you need to get used to acoustic.

  9. 1. Use an acoustic guitar to learn on. It will challenge your motivation, discipline, and intentions to move beyond the painful fingertips until the calluses arrive.

    2.  The acoustic is portable; you can take it most anywhere you wish, whereas an electric guitar requires an amplifier, patch cords, and an electric outlet. If you amplify your mistakes--as they certainly will exist--it could irritate people around you.

    3.  Learn on an acoustic first. This requires knowledge of chords, their progressions, and basic music theory. If you simply want to make thrashing, buzzing, echoing, and other distorted sounds, thinking it makes you a guitar player, then the electric is for you.

  10. It's not much of a difference but it's best to start with acoustic to get the basics before you go electric (don't want to shock anybody) LOL!!!

  11. To me it was much more simpler the electric one, less right hand and better cords
