what is the nth term for the sequence: 1, 2, 5, 10 ... thanks :) its bugging me. i can't do it. im gonna fail.

  2. 25

  3. 17

    2-1=1

    5-2=3

    10-5=5

    Difference is moving up in twos

    therefore 5+2=7

    10+7=17

  5. dont know really but im guessing randomly

    1-2= 1

    2-5= 3

    5-10=5

    so going with the odd numbers is the next....

    n^2-2n+2

    so the first term is 1^2-(2*1)+2 = 1

    second term is 2^3-(2*2)+2 = 2
