My 30th birthday is tomorrow. My husband has found activities for him and the kids and I have the entire day to myself. My problem is I have absolutely no idea what to do with the time. I planned a weekend for my kids and neices/nephews to celebrate at Valley Fair (local amusement park) this weekend. And tomorrow evening is my birthday dinner with my parents and family. But im at a loss as to what to do with myself tomorrow lol.

  1. pedicure/manicure, spa, make over, buy a new purse, some new shoes, sleep,

  2. Happy birthday!  Get a facial and massage!!!  Oh Yeah!!!

  3. You've had some great suggestion's so far...most include pampering like facials, manicures etc, I do this on a reg.....so if your like me you may enjoy catching a bus and going somewere like a nearby town & just exploring by yourself or you could go shopping and after have a nice meal or ice-cream?

  4. Go get a pedicure and get your hair done.

And buy yourself new pretty undies.

    :)

  5. You do not have to spend money to have a great birthday...

If you are really tired, turn off all the light in the house, put on some of your favorite soothing music, and go to bed =).

If you are bored, go to a nice park, people watch and bring along a good book.

If you want to be spoiled (Now you have to spend money) then Id do the spa treatments, and DEEP tissue massage.

  6. Get a manicure and pedicure

    Get a massage

Grab a friend and go to a movie

Go shopping for yourself with no kids

Enjoy a favorite sport (like a long bike ride)

    Go to lunch with friends

The list is endless....just do what you enjoy!

  7. How about getting your nails or hair down? or maybe buy yourself an outfit? I dont know what you are into so I dont know lol just some suggestions or what about going to the movies with a friend?

  8. just go with what you enjoy just do it....

  9. go get your hair, nail, facial,go with a friend then go and have a drink

  10. Go to a movie and eat lots of snacks and soda.

Go get a manicure and pedicure

    go to the mall

  11. 50th and France then make your way down to Southdale and the Galleria.  Even take in a movie and get a big piece of cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.

Otherwise head up to Arbor Lakes.  Trader Joes is fun to go thru too.  Also the outlets arent that far from Arbor Lakes - on the way to St. Cloud -forget the name.  That Dunn Brothers at the outlet has an awesome bacon breakfast sandwich.  And if you want to shop for the kids, those outlets often have great deals.  Also I think Arbor Lakes and well Southdale too, have Aveda Salon/Spas tucked away in there.

  12. If it were me, I'd take a nice relaxing day at a spa.  Get a massage, a facial, hair/nails done.  Just take a day and pamper yourself.  You're busy taking care of your children, so I'm sure you don't really have much time to do all of these things.

  13. Do whatever you want!!!Thats the point.I know I would love to be able to clean my house without three kids underfoot.I know that sounds crazy but its the truth.Happy birthday.

  14. Welcome to the "30" club.  I also turned 30 this year and have a hubby and kids.  I ended going out with my girlfriends for drinks.  It was so nice to actually spend one on one time with them without kiddos and it has lead us to do it once a month.

Since you will be dawning the "birthday princess" tiara tomorrow you may it may be too late to plan drinks with friends so I suggest that you take the day and play it by ear.  Seriously, as a mom, how often do we get to do that?  Sleep in if you want, go get Starbucks and bring a book, enjoy looking at shoes without having to tell the kiddos to not try on the heels, just do what you want to do when you want to do it!

  15. Happy Birthday!  I just turned 30 last week...and this weekend, I had a slumber party!  It was SO fun.

My suggestion is to go to the spa...get a massage/facial/pedicure/manicure (if you can afford all that, which I probably couldn't ;) ).

Or, call a few friends and ask if they'd like to go to lunch and shopping or movies.  That's always fun.

  16. Happy Birthday! Pamper yourself, get a massage. get your toes done, hair done. Go shopping

  17. I was in the same situation on my last birthday. I just wanted to be on my own and have some peace and quiet!! I went to a lovely stately home and walked in the gardens. It was so nice not to have to chase after a toddler all day! Do something you know you couldnt do with kids - go to a museum, art gallery etc etc - something grown up!!
