  1. She probably meant BY the day the workers show up for work.

  2. She is required by law to give you written notice. You have rights and she has obligations. Seek legal help.

  3. It's hard to answer your question without knowing where in the world you are. Call the business office of your municipality and find out what the eviction laws are in your jurisdiction.

  4. no it's not legal. you have to be served with a notice (30 days). that's the law. call the landlord tenant agency or tenant's right's advocate.

  5. In Florida, no . . . I'm a landlord and if I'm doing work to a rental unit that prohibits the use of the unit then I must pay for suitable quarters for the renter while the work is being done . . . I have to honor the lease . . . however I can chose to not renew the lease . . .

  6. depends on your contract. normally it requires a certian amount of notice.

  7. If you have a lease you can stay up until the end of it. If you are a month to month tenant she has to give you a month. Penalties for her violating your rigths as a tenant are sky high so don't let her push you around.
