Ok my parents are fighting about this poker rule.

My dad thinks that say, on the final round, all five cards on the table, if player 1 puts down 10, and the next player puts down 25 (so he raises by 15) player three must put down 25 or higher. Up until now we all agree. But then my Dad says that player one needs to put down another 15 so everyone has put in 25.

My mom thinks the same except player 1 doesnt have to put in 15 at the end, he has to do what the player before him has done. It doesnt matter wht other players have done.

I agree with my mother but Im not sure who is right.

Who is right? please help! I just want to get this proof infront of them so thyll stop fighting.

  1. Let them fight =D

  2. player 1 has to add an additional 15.  all bids should be the same.. If player 1 doesnt want to then he/she can fold.

  3. In order to stay in the hand, the player has to call the raise (put in 15).

  4. Your dad is right.. If the bet on the table is at 25 and player 1 only put down 10, he HAS to call the 25 and put 15 more if he wants to call.
