Ok my sun sign is leo, moon sign is scorpio, what is a "rising"

I'm just curious to this horoscope stuff seeing as the more I learn about it the more it applies to me, I've seen questions with like "a sagitaurus rising" Is that a 3rd part to the horoscope thing?

Your Rising sign is also called the Ascendant.  It was the zodiac sign that was rising on the Eastern horizon the time you were born.  In order to determine your rising sign, you would need your date of birth, your time of birth and the location of your birth and chart would have to be calculated using that specific information.  You can input that information on any of the free websites and have your chart calculated and a short interpretation of your chart.  Just google "free natal chart" or "free birth chart" and select a website.  Make sure though that you have your ACCURATE time of birth; preferably from your birth certificate...... enjoy your study of Astrology, I know you will find it fascinating.....
