Wow, only NASCAR would be stupid enough to do this. A lot of you complain that sports like drifting is wasteful, and then NASCAR does burnout competitions. Wow, some skill required there...NOT!

I think it will be interesting to see what kind of crazy stuff they come up with.  Its like the slam dunk contest, regular dunks just dont cut it in the that competition.  I am willing to bet we get some good effort on the part of the drivers.

FYI- On nascar 08 my victory burnout is one going backwards and then I slam on the brakes turn the car around and keep doing a burn out!  That would be cool if someone pulled that off!

speed tv.  it's during the pre-race show which begins at 4pm eastern on saturday.  i've heard them say that the burnout competition is supposed to happen at 6:15 eastern.
