  1. why don't you just ask her what she wants to do? that way you don't have to fret and she will actually get to see things that she wants to.

  2. National portrait gallery it's free! and on the northside of Trafalgar Square all buses go through Trafalgar Square. London Eye, Houses of Parliament, London Zoo in Regent's Park.

  3. Hi.

Why don't you go to the London Aquarium?  It isn't too expensive and its great fun.  You can then have a walk down southbank and find a nice coffee place.

Or maybe go to Greenwich park and go in the observatory tower?  Thats really interesting!

  4. The first thing you need to check is the weather.  Last time I checked there was 60% chance of heavy rain so perhaps indoor things could be better for you.

If you found the science museum boring then I won't recommend Tate Modern although it's a lovely building.  Perhaps you could do some of the touristy indoor things such as London Dungeons (Tooley Street, London Bridge Tube - Northern and Jubilee lines).

Madame Tussauds - Baker Street tube (metropolitan, circle, bakerloo, jubilee lines).

Harrods is a huge luxury department store which you can easily spend a day in (Knightsbridge tube - Piccadilly Line).

You could always check at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square (Northern, Piccadilly lines) to see if there are any cheap tickets and go and see a matinee at a local theatre - there are some great things on at the moment.

  5. The British Museum, nearest tube Holborn (picadilly line or central)

It all depends what she likes doing really. Go on a boat trip, get the boat from just outside Embankment station then head down river to the tower of london.

  6. Take the Picadilly line to the Green Park tube stop, then transfer to the Victoria line.  Take the Victoria line to the Vauxhall tube stop, exit Vauxhall, walk down 9 Elms Lane to the Battersea Power Station, and enjoy.

From the Metropolitan line transfer to the Jubilee line at the Baker Street tube stop and ride to the Green Park tube stop.  Follow the instructions above.

If you don't like my answer, then take a cab to Brixton!  Indeed.

  7. http://www.londonisfree.com/

Try this website. It has loads of free (and some cheap) things to do in london and should cover all travel information too.

  8. There's some suggested places on the following websites which include alot of information about price and also they have photos etc so you can see what its like before you go

  9. Toy Museum,  Bethnal Green. 100 yards from the tube or No 6 bus and free
