  1. thanks for the points

  2. well ,

you might have better luck playing recreation for this year , til you get a bit more experienced. but if not,

    bump :

your legs should be shoulder length apart, knees bent, shrug your shoulders over your chest and make a fist and hold it with the other hand (its not easy to explain) or put the back of one hand in the palm of the other and fold your thumbs over.

hit the ball with your forearm , face your target , lift with your knees and don't swing your arms.

    set:

put your hands in a triangle shape above your forehead, push out with your arms and count to 2 before you bring your hands down. the ball should travel in an arch.

    serve:

underhand - if your right handed, hold the ball in front of your right shoulder with your left hand. keep your right arm straight, bring it back and hit the ball out of your hand. you can take a step if you want. if your left handed, do the opposite.

overhand - this is harder, and harder to explain. toss is everything! if your right handed, hold the ball in front of your right shoulder and toss it up, high enough so you can hit the ball with your right arm at it's highest. when you toss the ball , bring your right arm back like you were going to shoot an arrow and then bring it high up and hit the ball with the bone in your hand.

what to wear: spandex (you can wear shorts if you don't feel comfortable) a loose shirt, knee pads, shoes. don't spend a lot of money yet though, not until you know you make the team. also, MAKE SURE your hair is out of your face , its a BIG distraction.

    anyway,

    GOOD LUCKK !!

  3. u need to learn the rules of the game. take a park district class or learn from someone who plays vb. learn how to bump and hit

  4. OK always so low

    just feels comfortable

    dont be stiff

    be on your toes

  5. for sure u r gonna need a t-shirt some shorts tennis shoes and some knee pads(in case u slide on the floor from hitting the ball.

u are gonna need to work on ur bumping and on ur setting and over hand serving.

lets start with bumping u are gonna want to have ur legs shoulder length apart and bend ur knees. then u r gonna want to put on hand in the otherhand so ur forearm part is up then u want to practice hitting the ball straight up in the air and then eventually u would want to hit it over the net.

secondly for setting u are gonna want to make like a triangle with ur thums and ur pointer fingers and hold them above ur head. i would take the ball and set it in there and then work on setting u would want to throw the ball up in the air and catch it like i said then when u have that down u would want to practice hitting it over the net.

lastly, overhand serving is hard put u will get the hang of it after awhile. u want to have ur legs shoulder length a part and ur left foot slightly forward then the ball should be as high as ur arm will go. be sure to hit the ball with ur palm

that is about wat u will need to know if u r  new ur coach will help u out with overhand serving for sure

good luck and hoped i helped!

  6. T-shirt, spandex/shorts, volleyball shoes and knee pads. Along with a bag to carry all of this in.

You need to learn how to pass and how to serve the ball. When you are younger passing and serving is the most important.

  7. shorts, t-shirt and some knee pads

its not that complicated when the ball hits the ground on yourside the other team gets the ball and a point unless it goes out then its your ball and your point

i play volleyball on a team but this question is too broad

  8. Ok okay, what you need to know. Is Volleyball is all phsycological you need to think positive all the time and volleyball is a team sport so much there is no I in team.. You need to be in tune with all your team mates you cannot think that you are better then your other team mates you need to be equal... that is very, very important..

The best kind of clothing is spandex for shorts, court shoes and the best shirt that will slide on a floor that will be easy slide in.. because it hurts when it doesn't want to slide.. You need knee pads if you are starting out.. tie your hair back because you can get called on your hair touching the net, and it sucks.

  9. if you kick the ball you get bonus points!

  10. comfy t shirt, vball shoes [the brand mizuno is the bestt for any of this gear-shoes, uniforms, spandex, etc; maybe nike] spandex shorts, knee pads

it depends on what position you wanna play- but it sounds like you wanna hit so go try out for an outside hitter position! i play OH, and i love it!

outside hitters hit from the outside left, which is called a four, meaning you call for a 4 loud from the setter. you needa know how to hit with a good approach, block and transition off the net, and pass/dig when you play back row.

theres other positions too, that you should just in general know about ;]

setter- always sets/gets the second ball

libero- wears opposite colored jersey, and can sub in whenever without having to stop the game, plays back row only, digs mostly everything

ds- back row player, but not the same as libero

middle blocker- you needa know how to block and transition off the net, and you hit 2's which is in the front row middle ;]

those are the best positions-personally i'd prefer OH or libero!!!! theyre fun! :]

    good luck:]

  11. you need to know how to spell volleyball first

  12. ok, there are different positions in vball

to play hitter, you need to know how to:

    hit, serve, and block

    to play middle blocker:

you need to be tall, and you need to know how to:

    hit, serve, and block

    to play setter you gotta:

    serve, set and bump

to play right hitter you need to know how to:

serve, hit, set, bump, and block

    and to play Libero:

you need to know how to bump, back row hit, and dive

    and you need kneepads
