1. We DO believe in Jesus Christ. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our Teacher, etc. If you ever come across anyone who says anything about Jehovah's Witnesses, do not just take their word for it because more times than most, they will be lying. We have had a history of people hating us because of the message of truth we bear and people don't like admitting their faults.

  2. Jehovah's Witnesses base their beliefs on the Bible alone. Therefore Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Jesus.

We do not believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is God. He is just the son of God.

  3. Well, you can see some "not so bright" answers from people who don't have a clue what Jehovah's Witnesses believe so they just make stuff up.

We believe in the Bible. What does it say about Jesus? Pick up your own Bible and read for yourself. Find out what we believe and what true Christians should believe. Can't tell a true one from a false Christian without a scorecard like the Bible.

Colossians 1:15-18 tells us that Jesus was the first and only personal creation by Jehovah. After this, Jesus was used in making everything else using Jehovah's power.

John 8:58 Jesus himself tells us of his prehuman existence with "before Abraham...I have been."

Jesus is not part of a trinity. Nor is he Almighty God.

Psalms 83:18 and Revelations 16:7 shows the titles Most High and Almighty God belongs exclusively to Jehovah, Jesus' Father.

Though Jesus said he and his Father were one at John 10:30; 14:20. Trinitarians stop reading at this point. They just do not want to read further. Of course Father and son are going to be one---in agreement. This is what Jesus meant. was it something we dreamed up? No.

Reading on at John 14:28, Jesus declared simply, "My Father is greater than I am." How about that??? For trinity to be true, they must all be equal and here Jesus says they are not.

Jesus is very important to all of humanity. John 17:3 shows it means everlasting life to take in knowledge of Jehovah, of course, but also "of the one you (Jehovah) sent forth, Jesus Christ."

1Timothy 2:5 tells us there is only one mediator between perfect God and imperfect men. That is Jesus Christ.

What this answer is designed to show is that we do indeed believe in Jesus Christ, but as the the Bible shows and not things dreamed up by men.

All of our beliefs are this way, based solely on the Bible as authority.

  4. Well, there you have seen for yourself that people tell outright lies about Jehovah's Witnesses.

For our beliefs, go to http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/article_0...

  5. JWs do not believe Jesus is God.

Real Christians believe that Jesus is God.

  6. They do believe in Jesus. The big difference is that they believe Jesus began at the conception of Mary. Christians believe that Jesus has been around since the beginning. The difference is big enough that the Jehovah witness has rewritten John 1:1 to make their point. If your curious look at your bible for John 1:1 and then look at the bible that they use. They are not the same. Trust me...it is not an error in translation. Yes...they are a cult.

  7. If the information you got in the mail was made available through Jehovah's Witnesses (look for printer or copyright), then I would encourage you to look at all the scriptures that are refered to in the articles.

Please use your Bible to check these out. You will see that we do believe in Jesus. But we recognize his God-given position, rather than being God himself.

Jesus had a pre-human existence, then lived as a perfect man, the Son of God, then was resurrected as a spirit person (with a spirit or invisible body as 1st Peter 3:18 says), and returned to heaven to sit at the right hand of God.

He is our Counselor, King, High Priest, Prince of Peace, Mediator, Savior, Ransomer, Promised Seed, Head of the Congregation, and Exemplar among other positions.

We truly look to him as an essential part of our salvation.

  8. Jehovah's Witness do believe in Jesus , they however do not believe in the trinity.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness but i do agree with them .

    This Scripture may help you.

1 Corinthians 11:3.....Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Also John 14:28...."You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

These scriptures do not put Jesus as God or even equal to God .

  9. Jesus is used much as a reference than he is worshiped, but they do believe in him.

  10. We just don't believe that Jesus is god we believe he was the first creation of god and therefor his son we don't believe he was just a prophet we believe that he came to earth to give us a model to follow and to spread the good news and to give his life as a ransom read your pamphlet

  11. Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jehovah is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said over and over that he came down from heaven to do, not his own will, but the will of his Father. Therefore, Jesus was also one of Jehovah's witnesses. In fact, Jesus called himself the "faithful and true witness." (Revelation 3:14)

In that same verse, Jesus also calls himself the "beginning of the creation by God," not God.

You should also know that what many people call "mainstream Christianity" or "orthodox Christianity" is not the same as Biblical Christianity.

Jehovah's Witnesses have no obligation to preach so-called mainstream Christianity, which is laden with man-made dogmas and the traditions of men that conflict with the Bible.

Our obligation is to preach Biblical Christianity, and that is what we do.

  12. Who make Jesus?

    Jehovah did.

  13. my friend on the surface jw's look like jesus followers. they are not . they believe jesus is miachel the archangel, jesus did not rise from the dead physically, jesus is not GOD,jesus was created we can keep going, but you get the point.don't look to man look to christ the lord.

  14. Hello Brianna,

How nice of you to ask.

We have a very strong faith in Jesus Christ.

We just don't believe everything that people say about Jesus.

For example, some say that he was just a good man.

This is not what the Bible teaches.

And we do not believe the teachings

of groups that contradict what Jesus himself said

about his relationship with his Father.~~ John 14:28

His Father has given him ruling authority

that affects all of us today.~~ Dan 7:13,14

Since you do have some literature,

you could use your own Bible

to look up the Scriptures provided.

To see for yourself, if the information is indeed in the Bible.

  15. They don't believe in the TRINITY

They don't believe Jesus is God

The do however believe Jesus to be

    The Son of God

  16. They believe in Jesus, they just believe he was a prophet. They do not believe he was God in flesh as mainstream Christianity does.

  17. Jehovah's witnesses are typically stereotyped as a cult. And it's true.

  18. "Jehovah's Witnesses disagree with the mainstream Christian belief that Jesus was "fully God, fully man." Witnesses teach that Jesus was not God, but rather God's first creation. Jesus existed in pre-human form as God's agent of creation and God's chief spokesman (the Word), and took on human form as the man Jesus by means of a virgin birth.

The purpose of Jesus' incarnation on earth was threefold in the view of Witnesses: (1) To teach the truth about God; (2) to provide a model of a perfect life for people to follow; and (3) to sacrifice his life to set humans free from sin and death. His crucifixion was not on a cross, but a single upright stake. After his death, God raised Jesus from the dead "as a spirit creature" and Jesus returned to his home in heaven. Jesus was not made King, however, until 1914. "

  19. Hi Brianna. Yes we believe in Jesus. We have a book that is published about Jesus Christ. It's called the Greatest Man who ever lived. We just don't believe he was born on Xmas day. Nor do we celebrate his birth yet his death. He said for us to do so. It's our memorial and that is pamphlet you received in the mail. I would appreciate it if you'd take a look at this website. It only takes a moment, and should answer most of your questions. If you have anymore please feel free to email any one of us. We have our emails posted, and would be very happy to answer any questions. Have a great day!

  20. John 14:6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"

JW's believe that Jesus is the ransom sacrifice, and that belief, in him is necessary for salvation.

( I have read their literature)
