Ok racing fans will tony stewart stay with joe gibbs and zippy and should he?

Tony may leave, Tony has money, he has a championship, I really think we wants to own his own team.  Zippy is a crew chief, he gets paid, no doubt about it, but not on the same scale as Tony, he would probably stick around for the job security at Gibbs.  But who knows, Tony may offer him a piece of the pie for an administrative role in Tony's new team

I think he will  be leaving and I think thats best for him because of the simple fact that he loves chevrolets, so if he's in a toyota he mostly wont be happy and if he isnt happy he wont win too many races. I'm not tryin to bash toyota even though i personally dont like them but I really believe he doesnt like them.

I think he'll leave Gibbs, possibly even form his own team. But I think Zippy will be with him either way.

I think Tony is gone.  And Zippy has an out of his contract if Stewart if not with JGR.  Is it me, or does Tony not seem very motivated to win for Toyota?

Zippy is leaving with Tony. Tony looks better in a Chevrolet.

You know at this point I really think he's pretty much got both feet out the door at JGR. As to if he will be gone after this season or if he's gonna stay through 09, that remains to be seen, but I have the feeling that this will probably be his last season in the #20. And to if he should stay, It pretty much depends on how long he wants to be involved in the sport. I mean at 37 he isn't getting any younger and with JGR being over run with youth with Logono, Hamlin, and Busch I don't see him having much of a future there for many more years.

I honestly think at this point in his career buying into a team like Hass Cnc would be great for him if he can make it work. Heck, I would even love to see my guy Harvick maybe go into some kind of Cup deal with Tony.  Stewart-Harvick racing..... LOL now THAT would be interesting.

Oh and from what I have read the past couple weeks it doesn't sound as if Zippy would be interested in going with Tony if he leaves. It's kind of surprising to me but you can't blame him. He's been at JGR for a long time and he's comfortable over there. Plus he has an ever growing family to support and think of.

He's leaving for sure.  I think he's gonna make his own team and merge with Haas and I 'm pretty sure Haas uses hendrick engines so basically Tony would drive a Hendrick car.  He metioned Chevy at dover during an interview.

Tony would be crazy to leave, just like Kurt Busch was crazy to leave Roush. Car owners are as important as drivers in winning championships. I hope Tony is smarter than Kurt.

Well I hope he stays with joe Gibbs Racing. If he doesn't he has to take Zippy along wherever he goes. Tony is my favorite driver and no matter where he goes I will still cheer him on. I just can't see Tony without Zippy.

I don't think that he will - sadly - Zippy seemed angry about the whole thing so I don't think he is going to go with him. It will be sad to see them separated.

well, with the interview earlier in the week with zippy, it sounds like the 20 team is distracted, to say the least. it is beginning more and more to seem like tony's seriously considering an out, especially given zippy's comments. as for zippy, i agree with the pundits who say he may just stay with JGR, as he's far enough along in his career to not necessarily want to start over with a new team - especially not a "startup."
