  1. all the services are great and i respect all of them

but the army is just kinda........well weak... try the marines those are some leathernecks right there..

  2. Before you decide on one make sure you visit all branches. And find out which one better suits you.

  3. Be a US soldier and then let yourself be another US pawn. In current crisis, US army kill and die for nothing. At the end the big boss of oil company that get the rewards. WARPIG.

    Sorry for being rude.

  4. Yeah man I'm 16 and very intersted in the armed services. Make sure you research before you go into a recruiting office. I would personally recommend that you go in with the ROTC as an officer then you will have a higher pay grade (make more money). But if thats not what you want to do then make sure you don't let anybody tell you what you want to do i.e. the recuiters trying to push you into a job that's "best for them"..

    Peace,

    Warm

  5. Study up on every branch, do not talk to recruiters until you are about 17and a half, and only talk to them after you have made a final choice. make them put whatever promises they make you in writing, to save yourself from a lot of BS. If you are looking to go to Afghanistan, join the Marines, Iraq, Join the Army, those are pretty common areas to be stationed for the two branches, although people from every branch are sent to either country. I choose Army as a Medical Ranger, then trying for Green Beret. I won't be going to boot camp for a few months though. I have to say the Air Force and the Coast Guard are the safest branch to be in and they do a lot of good. The navy is great, but their recruiters tend to lie a bit more than the other branches.

Joining the military isn't necessarily the right or the wrong thing to do. If you want to kill, you are joining for the wrong reasons, if you want to serve your country, as you said, this would be a good reason. Don't make any hasty decisions though you have 4 years to think about other careers. The military isn't for everyone, but for those meant to be in it, more good than bad comes from service.

Good luck, and remember, take your time.

  6. This is your life,do what you want to do and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Before walking into the recruiters office, try and talk to some guys who are serving now,and ask them about boot camp, what its like being in the service, etc.

Then sit down with your parents and talk to them about all the opportunities the army has to offer.

    hope this has helped

  7. yeah man. i just joined the Marine Corps. if you want better leadership skills, courage, honor, commitment, financial security, and american respect, join. its all your decision, but remember, it is one of the biggest decisions you will EVER make. note that you need to research every branch before jumping blindly into any one. know what the jobs offered are. know how long you can serve. have your own questions when you talk to a recruiter. and do wait until you are at least 17 to talk to one. they cant do anything with you until that point.
