Honestly (i dont want Novak lovers to go crazy at me with this question) Im looking for straight answers lol My personal opinion is he was lucky at this tournament. With Federer`s little slip up and Nadal`s shock defeat against Ferrero...Novak had it all up for grabs, surely people must agree with me ? I no its not Novaks fault Almagro/Stepanek retired...but c`mon this tournament was a joke and i truly believe if Nadal/Federer hadnt lost then Djokovic wouldnt be adding the Rome title to his name. It sucks!

  1. coulda,shoulda,woulda....

what the h**l makes you think he wouldn't have beaten them anyway? lol i don't care what the outcome would have been ultimately, novak has just been playing better than anybody right now. seriously, you're beating the life out of this ridiculous theory of yours. you seem so blinded in your obsession with nadal you can't seem to get past the fact that novak has actually been the best player on tour the last months.

and please, you can stop with the condescending little puns about 'novak lovers going crazy'.....just because somebody might actually defend the guy doesn't mean we're necessarily fanatical about only him. i appreciate both he and nadal.

  2. Yes he probably had an easier run than most have had to win a masters series title, but with the way Federer and Nadal have been playing lately who knows if he might not have won it anyway.  Novak has still proven to be the strongest player of the year so far and I hope he continues and becomes No. 1.

  3. Nadal > Djokovic > Federer on clay so... Cept with the way Nadal has been up and down lately, I donno how a Djokovic Nadal final would have turned out.

  4. it happens, people get lucky. like novak. one of his tougher opponents defaulted and he wasn't physically tired for his next match. nadal however hasn't had any luck in a while. notice that nadal has one of the most stamina in the game. and he has to put 110% in the match just to win. novak just has to show up and he gets a default.

  5. Yep I would have to agree with that assessment. The lil putz is so friggin lucky.

  6. Could have, would have, should have.  You can hypothesize all you want, but the fact is Nole is the new champion of Rome.  He was the last man standing, so he deserves it.
