How much should you pay someone to watch 3 children for a full time job...IF shes living with you not paying rent or any bills, and her almost 2 year old child is living in too?

  1. hmmm i wouldnt pay that much if there living with you.. kinda depends where you live to, in jersey i would pay someone like 200 300 a week.

  2. doesnt look like she needs paying. she lives with you for free, so maybe that can be her rent- babysitting

  3. Interesting. Since she is getting free room and I assume food is provided by you, the pay should be minimal. I don't know what is standard or fair but just my opinion

  4. she should help out on the bills and with utencils and food for the kids and atleast say thank you

  5. You should contact a nanny service in your area and see what the going rates are. Be careful if it's a friend you could get into a sticky situation, money can very easily ruin a friendship.

  6. wow. usually its $15 or $20 dollars a day per child. some charge less or more but what i have experienced i havent paid more then 20 a day per child. i only have 2 so i only pay 200 a week. but if shes living with you and at no charge and helping her with stuff too i wouldnt pay alot. your already saving them  alot of money looking at how the economy is right now.  good luck. also you should look into govnt childcare and see how much gvnt certified babysitters charge. ... hope it helps

  7. Are you paying for her food and medical expenses too? If so then I would say nothing! If you are completely supporting your babysitter then she should be doing it for free.

If you are not paying for things like their food and doctor visits then maybe a little bit of money for things like that; maybe $50 a week.

And I could see having this situation if it were like your teen daughter who is a single mom with her child, but if this is an unrelated adult then this deal should be totally fair since every other adult has to go out and get a job to support themselves and pay bills.

  8. well who's idea was it for her to live there and things and since children need so much maybe you could do a rent for her of about 100.00 a month and 40.00 for her share of the bills and 75.00 for food a total of 215 dollars a month and pay her a total of 800.00 month for child care and then take the 215.00 off of it for a total payment of 585 that would help her to have money cause three kids are a full time job and since you are trying for number four then if you are nice and give her what is said in there then just let her know that number 4 will be included in this when it comes and you want have to give her a raise as a child a month is expensive

  9. Personally, I would figure out what her rent would be if she was paying rent, and then compare what you would pay a babysitter.  Balance the two and see where you're at.  It's hard to say what the going rate would be, since rent amounts differ wherever you live.

Just as an FYI, I paid my full-time babysitter $840 a month for 5 days a week for one child, hours 7-3.

  10. HHhhhmm thats a tough one. I myself would figure maybe $50 to $75 a week. It also depends on IF she helps out any other way as in house hold chores or any other contribution.

  11. If she was living rent (and bill) free, then not a lot at all! Minimum wage at best!

If she were to go out and get a regular job, she would have to hire a baysitter (an expense she doesnt have now) and she would also have to be paying rent and bills (2 expenses she doesnt have now!) so she would actually come out with less money with a proper, better paid job!

    Minimun wage is fine!
