Paul Newman, Fast Eddy, would use this cross corner in pool halls to hustle marks. Describe exactly how does one make it!

Paul Newman executed this shot twice in the movie.  once to miss it on purpose and then he hit it again after he set the guy up.  the 8-ball is frozen to the side rail and the cue ball is frozen to the 8-ball.  you hit the cue ball with top-right english with a fairly firm stroke lifting your cue while stroking so as to avoid the double hit.  the right english transfers left on the 8-ball sending it in the direction of the corner pocket.  depending on angle, the amount of english will vary.
