Ok so for some reason i turned off my computer(mac)....and i lost all my songs on iTunes...what happened?

It depends on whether they were actually deleted from the computer or if the link in iTunes was just deleted. I would check in the explorer to see if the song files themselves are still in your Music folder. If so, all you need to do is tell iTunes where they are and it will re-sync.

If they have been deleted altogether then you will need to have had a program similar to Time Machine, that keeps a restore of your system so that you can pull the files back.
