  1. nope some of our sp.ed. are not in wheelchairs and sometimes their homework is very easy

  2. you are no more likely to be with people in wheelchairs tahn you are in your current class-

It coudl be a separate smaller class for kids with behavior issues-or you could be included in a mainstream class with support froma special ed teacher

  3. To be honest, I don't know what will happen.  You may be in all regular classes, but have access to a resource teacher.  Since you have ADHD/Depression, part of your special education services will include weekly (usually weekly, sometimes more or less) talking sessions with a social worker.  I am one of those, and I have worked with students who are immobile, students who are nonverbal, and students who you would never know that they have any difficulties at school.  I would have a long talk with your mom, as well as ask her if you could meet who you will be working with next year.

  4. No youll be with kids who have difficulty focusing and sitting still, dont worry, youll be fine.

  5. You'll probably be in a class similar to where I work.  I work in a class called CTE, Center for therapeutic education.  We do have kids with your diagnosis.  It's a much smaller class size for other kids with behavior/emotional issues.  In our class (Jr high) for example, we currently have 7 students, a teacher, and three aides. The psychologist comes in three days a week, and an intensive in school therapist visits the kids once a week.

You should ask to visit the class that you're going to be in next year.  That shouldn't be a big issue, and can help you be more comfortable in the transition.

Many kids in a class like this also go to plenty of mainstream classes, depending on their issues.  You'll get the emotional support that you need in dealing with your depression and adhd if the program is run correctly.

Good luck, and feel free to ask more questions. The adults working with you should be able to answer the questions you have and help you understand more the program that you'll be in.

  6. no it will just be a smaller class size with students with similiar disabilities, and a class with aides to help the teacher assist the students. I've worked in this type of class before its just pretty much a smaller class size but with regular kids with behavior problems.
