  1. start with fish and eggs.. small portions.. talk to your doctor.. and he can refer you to a dietitian to monitor you as you change your eating habits.. you will gain weight.. there will be stool issues at first.. bulk up on more fiber.. the fat in most meats with cause loosening.. the dietitian might even give you a sample menu..


  2. Slowly bring meat back into your diet. I would suggest starting with fish, just because if you chomp down on a steak right now, depending on how long you've been a vegetarian for, it'll be harsh on your system. Too much of something you haven't eatten in a while will either get you puking or well other things that are equally as offal!

I agree with the slowly add in method!  I was a very strict vegetarian for a long time and then started craving meat so I started devouring lots of it and got soooooo sick and messed up my digestive system for awhile.  I would start with meat broths and dairy (if you dont eat dairy).   Then small amounts of fish for a month, chicken for a month, and so on and so forth.  If you havent been a vegetarian for really long it may not take you as long.
