Ok so i got a problem?

Question

i have a canon camera nd wen i try 2 upload i doesnt go thru bcuz a different camera is listed there

ok first i go 2 my pictures then i press get picttures frm a camera or scanner

but a different camera is listed there

how do i change that 2 my camera the canon one?

I have never used the USB cord to upload my pictures.  My laptop has a reader on the side, and I use that for my SD cards.  But my other camera uses CF cards, so I use a card reader for those.  You plug the reader into a USB port, and put the card into the reader.  Works very well for me, and you don't wear down the batteries in your camera.
