  1. no no no, do you really want to? carry on working, but for yourself, make the money work for you, 3 million isn't a great deal of money these days, mind you, if you'v really won 3 million then i wouldn't mind being a penny behind you

  2. If you do decide to look for a job, it should be doing something you really enjoy. The income from it is irrelevant.

One of the problems with having a lot of money is the temptation to spend it. The more free time you have, the bigger the temptation. So by getting a job, you stop yourself spending!

I would advise looking for a job in the voluntary sector, working for a charity you believe in.

  3. Yes but not a job a career - find something that you love and you would even consider doing for free for example if you like helping people you might consider becoming a doctor etc- you certainly have the money for the studies and do not need to worry about the money which means that you are purely motivated to the job and in turn it would reward you will eventually feel better about your self.

This is really if you have 3 million

  4. Start you own business doing something you love, get other people to do the hard work so you can enjoy

  5. you're probably dirt poor. and stupid. you mouth off too much and cant find a job and you're insecure. go blow yourself.

  6. Hey if I had 3 million pennies in the bank (£300) I would be a very happy man.

But yes, on balance if that is all you have then getting a job sounds like a good idea.

Get round here now with some of the 3 million and we'll talk about it over a beer or 3

  7. If you are going to live all your life as an upper middle class, I guess 3 million isn't bad at all for early retirement.

You can get at most 180,000 annually if invested right. So not bad.

You wouldn't need to work that much.

If you want to enjoy the upper class life, you need at least 10 million. That would give you 600,000 annually if invested right. This way, you wouldn't have to work all your life, just enjoy life. Money will work for you.

I suggest that you continue working but don't stress about it that much. Try and find good investments. Don't put all that money all together though.

  8. if u want 2....

  9. why would u want too!!!!

if ur bored try doing some voluntary work or going shopping with all your money!!!

  10. if you want to

  11. Why do you want to work for the money?  Let the money work for you, invest it, try to get a constant cash flow coming in, and you won't have to worry about working and worry about your 3 Mil will be over anytime near soon.

    You wanna share some :)

  12. if i had 3 million in the bank i still would work i would get too bored otherwise

  13. Yes, but not for the reason you think. I was around people with trust funds for years. Almost without exception, the ones who worked were happy and the ones who didn't were miserable. Working gives you a purpose in life, widens your social circle and allows you to make a difference in the world.

You have the luxury of not having to worry about money. This means you can get as much training as you like, to become a doctor or a lawyer. But it also means you can do what really makes you happy. If you'd rather own a childcare center, or work in a restaurant, or at a zoo, you have that luxury. Don't just take any career because that's what people say you should be doing -- take the time to figure out what you really want to  do with your life. And then do it.

  14. no

  15. yes u should, one day your millions wil run out

  16. If I was you yes I would find a job but not worry too much about finding one.

  17. You aleady have a job.

Managing 3 million properly will earn you alot more than working.

  18. NO show off!!!

  19. Purely on etical grounds, I would have to say NO.

It's clear that you don't need the money, so you would be taking a job as a passtime or hobby.

By doing that you'd be stopping somebody more needy than yourself from getting a job.

Enjoy your money, and if you really feel the need to work, do something voluntary, or start a business so you can offer jobs to people who are struggling to make ends meet.

  20. i think you had your answer

  21. 3 million what??? pens?? books??

Well if its money youre talking about....

Your first job is to find me, have a cup of tea and write my a nice big cheque and I promise that I will look after it well!! lol!!!!!!!!!

  22. h**l no, invest, live off the interest, buy a lil coffe house or a resturaunt man becom an entrepreneur dont work like a normal person because with 3mil u are more than normal u lucky git

    take care

    ash

  23. invest some money in making other peoples lives better, you could be the secret millionaire

  24. Since the interest would be £180,000 a year you have no need.

  25. yeah right you wish.

  26. depending on your lifestyle its is really not that much, me and my partner make about 260k a year, and our retirement number is 8.5 million. to yield 260k a year and that 8.5 mil would not keep with inflation. to do that we need about 750k more. Get a job. 3 mill will only yield about 120k a year safely. There is a name for people like you they are called middle class millionaires they have significant account balances but not enough to live a fabulouse lifestyle. if u feel as though u can make if off of 80k a year after taxes then dont work. But knowing people who have been in your situation. You will want to spend that 3 Mil. 5 extra here and 20 there really does add up and can really eat at your savings over time

  27. Why not?   4 million sounds even better.

  28. Your 3 million these days are not that really big, if its not in US dollars or in Euro or pounds.  Anyway it is still spendable atleast for about half a year or so.  The thing is, you will really have to quit your present job but you must first start thinkin about how can your 3 million in the bank work for you for the long term.  I mean, for the rest of your lifetime perhaps.  After you have decided what to do, you can now quit your job and proceed with your plan.

And you should do what it is that makes you happy.  Remember, there are some things even money can't buy.

  29. you can always make more money can't you and still enjoy your life.

  30. a part time job, just incase

  31. I'd say yes, even if it was only 1 day a week. Having a job helps build your resume and teaches you a lot of "people skills." If you don't want to though, its your choice. Definitely invest some of that money though!
