  1. Of course not.  Lots of famous people, including presidents, have managed with middle names.

There was a fellow who registered for the draft in WWI named R B Jones.  R was his first name, B, his second.  The army didn't believe him.  He wrote R(only)  B(only) Jones on the registration to emphasize his name was R B Jones.  The army drafted him under the name, "Ronly Bonly Jones"

  2. no u dont have to have 1 some peeple have 1,2,or 0.

  3. It's ok not to have a middle name. I for one love my middle name, but i dont think it would matter if i didnt have one. I would still be me.

  4. Middle names are not necessary, but some people have one whether they like it or not. A lot of people are named after family members, or friends of their parents, etc.  Here's a few multiple middle names found in a wikipedia article:

British musician Brian Eno's full name is Brian Peter George St. Jean le Baptiste de la Salle Eno

Actor Donald Sutherland named his son,  Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland.

Baseball pitcher Cal McLish's  infamous full name is Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish.

  5. No, not at all. I know plenty of people with no middle names, from all kinds of ethnicities and such.

I asked my mom something like this once, and she told me that while growing up, she knew more people without middle names than with, and the ones with middle names were usually just named after relatives, etc.

  6. No you don't.Lots of people don't have a middle name.My grandfather doesn't, and he doesn't feel like he Missed anything.

  7. There is no law stating you must have a middle name.

  8. I dont have a middle name!

  9. Some people consider their mother's maiden name as a middle name.

Ex. If Emily M. Jackson married Fred W. Wilson, then the mother's name would become Emily J. Wilson, and their child would be something like Luke J. Wilson.

  10. No, alot of people dont have middlenames. Its ok that u dont have 1.

  11. No, that is strictly up to you.

  12. Well yeah you have to! For example your name is Elizabeth Jones. So you meet another Elizabeth Jones from another country, so how would you distinguish others in your graduation? Example your principal calls: Jones,Elizabeth...

How will you know its you or the other elizabeth?

  13. Ask Cher, If she doesn't know ask Madonna

  14. No, you do not HAVE TO; but you can IF you want to or you were given one upon birth.  Some people have four names; some five or more.  President Truman had ONLY a first (Harry) and last (Truman) names; for a "middle name", he had ONLY the initial "S". I know a gal here who has no first name, but, again, only an initial.  Really.

  15. like yes.
