Ok so i have dark brown hair almost black...?

and i wanna go light brown with some highlights but i dont want them over the top ya know..just natural....im getting them done at a salon i just need to know what i need to tell them. im afraid if i do anything like that it will turn redish tho

Tell them exactly what you said in your question.  That will be enough.  Tell the stylist your concerns.  It will probably look great!

If you are going to a professional salon, there should be no question as to how the process is done. Let the stylist know what you are looking for, and you will get it.

If your hair does pull red, then you may want to tell the stylist that. That way she can mix the color accordingly.

i have the same hair color like you i wont get light brown first your eyebrows are one color so get light highlights and you can decuss with the salon and they will help you also tell them your hair dying experiances in the past you hair went red and you dont want that to happen they will find a color that doesnt have any red color in the dye and it wont turn red just tell them what your said in your question and you will look good just like you wanted
