I'm mixed black and white but i'm more tan than black or white, so basically i'm in the middle, with hazel eyes. People have always told me i have really pretty eyes and i want to try some makeup that will REALLY make them pop. Does anyone know any colors or techniques i should use?

If u need a pic just tell me

Green and Hazel eyed girls have the best luck with purple and plum colored shadows and liners. The rule of thumb is that the darker your skin is, the darker the color you can wear. A fair skinned girl wouldn't look so good with deep purple all over her lids, would she? She may be able to pull the color off if she wears a little in the crease but not all over. You're lucky since you have a tan complexion. You can get away with almost anything as long as it's not super dark or pastel. Pastels will probably look really chalky on you.

Here's a dramatic night time look:

    1) Sweep a thin layer of shimmery plum on your lids from lash line to crease. This color would be perfect:

    2) Next, sweep a deeper plum just along the crease of your eyes - blend well! This color is great:

    3) Then, dot just a little bit of a shimmery ivory shadow on your brow bone and inner corner of your eyes. This color would look good:

    4) Then just curl your lashes and glide on a couple coats of volumizing black mascara and you're done!

For daytime, you would just do the same thing but with lighter colors.

Just always remember to BLEND BLEND BLEND. Keep an extra brush on hand that you never actually use to put the eye shadow on. Then if you need to blend quick, run the brush over the area a couple times and you should be good to go. The darker colors belong only in the crease and along the lash line. If you go above the crease, you run the risk of looking like a drag queen. And don't put it on heavily. If you want it darker, sweep on light layers until you reach the depth you want. If you put it on too dark you'll have to start all over - no fun! And don't forget the shimmery ivory on your brow bone and inner corners. Makes your eyes look brighter, more awake, and bigger. Always a good thing.

    Hope this helped!

Sorry - had to edit - some of my links didn't work! The link in the fist step is to MAC eyeshadow color in PLUM DRESSING. The second is to MAC eyeshadow in SKETCH.

  3. get a really really dark blue eyeshadow and apply a thin line of it along the top of your lid. Then get a lighter shade of blue and work it all the way up to your crease. Finish with a little of the dark blue on your lower lids just on the outer edges, add some mascara and your all set :)

  4. i have hazel eyes and i put a dark purple eyeshadow along the top half of my lid and then take a lighter shade of purple and blend it up from the darker shade.another color i use is dark blue.it looks good too.both make your eyes pop! i get compliments on how it looks:P good luck!!<3

  5. red shadow, pink blush, and black liner.
