  1. I mess up too sometimes and my friends still like it. Just keep trying to be better next time and show them you can be great. Practice makes perfect!

  2. when your on stage yoru the only one who knows yoru "act inside and out" not everyone knows the 2nd verse or not atleast as well as you do!

so even thought you messed up!  you covered well and that's what acting, singing , dancing is all about. Not letting others know you goofed! (we all do All the time)

so remember NO ONE in that show minuse a few friends here and there knows your lines what your doing up on stage!  only you do!  there for if your the only one who knows it goes to show that your the only one who knows if you s***w up!

  3. A performer is his own toughest critic.

I have learned that the hard way.

to someone with out a musical ear, they probably didn't even notice,

and most people were not  listening for you to mess up, which makes mistakes less noticeable.

possibly, a bad day for you might be someone else's best, so when you say you did bad, it doesn't really tell to what extent you performed. you might have done brilliantly, but it might not have been your personal best. see what i mean?

i can explain it with track and field. when my friend throws 80 feet with discus, she gets sad and mopey, because thats no where near her personal best, but if we didn't know that, we would think she was AMAZING, so as long as the audience cant tell, they are telling you the truth.

    hope that helped!

  4. One of the most helpful lessons that *any* performer can learn is that the audience is on your side. They aren't there to see you mess up; they're there to enjoy the show. The audience can forgive a mistake or two if the overall sound and demeanor of the performer are enjoyable to them; no one is expecting absolute perfection, especially at a talent show. When they applaud at the end, they aren't just being polite; they're letting you know that they really did enjoy what you did. Whether they're your friends or not is irrelevant; in general, the audience is there to be entertained, and not to criticize. The trick for any beginning performer is in accepting this simple truth; and from that comes the confidence to perform repeatedly in front of people.

  5. I am almost positive that they liked it... like my friends think that I can sing but I do trust them just believe in yourself and in you friends that they are telling the truth!
