Ok so...id like some help, so anyone and everyone plz answer?

ok so i was wondering if an overdose of laxitives can lead to a missing period. in june i wanted to lose a few pounds fast so i took about 5 laxitives everycouple days for like 3 weeks. the next month i notice i missed my period. now im a virgin, and basically a L*****n, so there was no way i was pregnant, but im still scared as h**l because ita almost the end of august and no period. dont tell me it was stupid, i obviously knew that, and i still know it now.

I would ask a doctor.  If you are underweight then you can stop having a period.  You need a better way to loose weight.  Taking laxatives like that is not good for you.  You should not take laxatives longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor.  Try a more natural solution like exercise and change in diet.  Be kind to your body :)

losing a bunch of weight fast like that, and just plain being underweight, will cause your period to to..dissapear for a while.

either way, get to a doctor to make sure you didnt mess anything else up please.

okay ya got me i wont tell you it was stupid. but yeah its probably just because of the sudden weight loss i would leave the laxitives alone until i was sure though just to be safe

Absolutely. You lost alot of weight.....and nutrition during those 3 weeks.

Your period is a sign that your body is healthy and your getting enough nutrients. Since obviously you did not, your reproductive system shut down.

I would strongly recommend seeing a doctor and telling him this, but if you simply can't, just start eating really really healthy. If your period still doesn't come back, then you will have no choice but to see a doctor.

its the same thing as being to active, i got my period a few days ago and i lost so much weight i dont no if thats a good thing or bad thing?

Being underweight could cause you to miss your period. Maybe that is the problem. And yes, what you did is stupid. I wont lecture you.
