  1. I think I get what ur sayin... kinda....... If your baby has one name (say its ur current bf's name) and you find out that he is not the biological father... is he (the bio. father) supposed to pay child support.  YES!  If its his, and the kid isn't addopted by your current bf. then YES.  However, you should get the kid's name changed, or have your current man addopt the kid.  It is only right.  Saves your child a lot of confussion when they are older

  2. If a test was done, and the man who signed the birth certificate turns out to not be the dad, and the other man is? Then yeah, the child can have the other mans last name. But i believe in this circumstance, the mother has the option of changing the babys last name to that of his/her birth father's.

I think it has to be a joint decision on the mother and biological fathers behalf.

And yes, if paternity is established, the biological father still has to pay child support for his child.

  3. Yes, that is legal. A mother has the right to put down any name she wishes the hild to have on his/her birth certificate.

Now the only way a biological father does not have to pay child support is if another person legally adopts the child, therefore the real father has signed away all his rights to  the child as well..

  4. What!
