that goes under 20mph because according to the "Per Federal Electric Bicycle Law H.R. 727" people do not need to register the moped or have a licese to drive it, and the mopeds are also street leagal. i was looking at "green flyer bikes" and i was wondering if anyone knows alot about them like if they work good or even if they have one.

(also u can go to greenflyerbikes.com and look at them)

at the website they show what colors there are and they have orange, lime green, red, navy blue, and back, so tell me what color u think would be the best

thx

  1. I had an electric moped which wasn't Green Flyer, but was very similar to the ones they're selling.  It cost the same $1200, had a top speed of 20 mph, but could only go 15-20 miles per charge whereas they claim theirs go 35-40 miles per charge.  If true, that's a pretty impressive range.  The replacement batteries for mine were more expensive too.

So I'd say this is probably a pretty good electric vehicle.  Personally I like the green one.

  2. Top speed 20 mph?

    Range 25 miles?

I think I'm better off buying a cheaper more reliable bicycle.

  3. I think that this is a great idea, I would prefer the red one, because red and yellow are the most visible, and therefore the safest, and when riding a bike, scooter, or motorcycle visibility is one of the most important things.

    personally I like this one.

  4. Check your state laws.  Only 22 states allow a person to use an electric bike as HR727 says,

    unfortunately.

And HR727 says fully operational pedals.

Some states say minimum age 16 for an ebike, some 14.  Some say mandatory license.

And some states (, New York, Hawaii for example)  don't let ebikes be used legally at all.

Some states are really big on the pedals having to be used.

so check your local and state laws.

  5. Get the one with a pink ribbon! Maybe even splurge and buy it a new bow?

  6. I have had one for 3.5 mo  1300 miles. So far only minor problems. The pedals fell off due to an assembly defect. and two electric failures . Faulty wire connection ( just a nuisance ) .My brake switch has a fault sometimes.  The pedals on the scooter style E-bikes are a hazard and have no functional purpose. The range (up to 25 miles)is shorter than I expected,               but I am 210 pounds. A smaller person will go further. If you want longer distance you might go with another type. Scooters are nice for groceries.

The governor can be disconnected . this will increase your speed to 25 mph.
