  1. Employers are under no obligation to give employees raises unless there is a contract (union or otherwise).  Raises are considered privileges, not rights, and many employers, especially if they are hurting financially themselves, will come up with all sorts of reasons to deny them.

Talk to your boss.  Have facts in hand as to why you deserve your raise - i.e., your accomplishments over the last two years.  1) as for a few minutes of his or her time.  Set a date and time so you are scheduled. 2)  Say, "I've asked you for this meeting because I realize I've not had a review in a year and a half.  I'd like to talk to you about where I stand in the company. 3) List your accomplishments and underscore your value to the company and 4) (this is the hard part) say, "Mrs. Smith, I'm asking for a raise of x dollars to compensate for my service and the cost of living.  Ask for a few dollars more an hour than you're willing to get, that way there is room for negotiation.  Look your boss in the eye.  Be confident.  Don't back down, but in a nice way.

If you don't get what you want, perhaps it is past time to look for other employment.

    Good luck.

  2. Unfortunately there;s not much you can do unless there was a contract saying you would get a raise and/or a lot of other employees who also didn't get a raise to help file a complaint with you.

  3. If  not  in  writing  may be  hard  to prove. And if  several  agree were  told  same thing  and  report  to dept of  labor they will look for reasons to let you go.  Sorry,  best go into PayRoll/Personell and  bring  up  subject why no more  raises and  ask it is  put in  writing  why.  Site  is  dol.gov

  4. There isn't much you can do. Just ask your boss. If he doesn't care then either you report it and get fired or you stick it out. That sucks by the way. I'm a union worker. I dont get punked around like that. Companies do what they want. And if you like your job stay and if you don't start lookin.
