Ok so my dog has been depressed for about 3-4 weeks,can u help?

Question

my dogs name is roxy,shes a 4-5 year old pit bull.(female)

ok so when i say depressed...shes not eating very much,shes being pretty lazy,dont even want to go outside,just lays around.

i took her to the vet and for $145 he told me theres nothing wrong health wise.

so i was talking to my mom and we think these could be some reasons

im pregnant and when her previous owner(sister in law) had roxy the lady got pregnant and when the baby came roxy had to turn into an outside dog cuz the lady didnt want the dog hair everywhere

my mom thinks the reason roxys sad is because i dont feel good so shes trying to be good and stay away(but roxys still snuggly with me)

what do u think?

Get her some special treats spend a little extra time with her and once the baby is born make sure she, the baby and you have play time together so she will see that she is not going to be pushed away again. Spend some extra time in the yard with her. Let her know that she will always be your baby even when the new one comes along

dogs never forget what has happen to them. just giv her the love and let her know she is not going any where. just lots of TLC.

I think roxy can sence that you are prego and she remembers that senct from  when her last owner abandond her! All you can do is cuddle and spoil her as much as u can! I hate to see people have kids and then neglect there dogs when there dogs have always stood by them.  Dont be one of them people! That makes me so so sad!  You dont sound that way at all!  My opinion is lots of attention and love.. play with her also and give her lots of treats!  Take her dog park and maybe evan think about getting her a play mate.. another dog!  Call the humane society and get another dog so she aint so bored when ur not home.  I know my dogs would be lost without eachother.. i got them from the humane society together becuase they were brothers!  Good luck and just be happy beucase if ur not then roxy can sence that!

I think it is depression.. The best thing would be give as much attention as you can and also take her out on walks if you can.

plus do allot of praising when she is doing good.
