  1. if you don't think he drank a lot he should be okay. watch him very closely to see if there is anything out of wack with him. however, sometimes cats are very good at covering up their illnesses. if he drank a lot of water it would make him really ill just like a human drinking down soapy water.. soap kills cells.. usually cats don't like bitter things and soapy water is very bitter so if there was a lot of soap in the tub i doubt he had more than a little taste.

  2. Well, one thing is certain.  If you want to train your cat to stop doing something, be sure, when you ask for advice, to note he loves water since a squirt bottle is often the first 'weapon' of choice for training.

He probably didn't drink much soapy water, if any at all.  l*****g off his fur could result in some intake, but soap is going to act as a laxative.

Keep an eye on him, especially the litter box output.  That often is a first clue.  If diarrhea, it could be serious so a vet needs to be consulted.

  3. Just watch him, most soaps won't hurt him unless it contains a lot of alcohol (and most don't).  Start to close the door when you take a bath, and re-train him to stay out of the tub.  He could go in there when you aren't home and knock over shampoo, conditioner, bubbles...whatever you keep on the edge and lap it up.  That would NOT be healthy.  For now on, before you get out of the tub - no matter what - re-train yourself to pull the plug to let the water out.  There is no reason not to - your hand is already wet, let the water out before you even towel off.

  4. I'm pretty sure he'll be ok..... Let's put it this way-- my kitten jumps in the shower when I'm done and licks the floor dry-- weird, I know-- and she's perfectly healthy. I also haven't seen a live bug since I got her (she pounces them and turns them into dinner) and she's never gotten sick from that either.

  5. Don't worry about it, he is fine. He's not going to drink much soapy water, Next time be sure to drain it.

  6. He'll be fine, he sounds really cool, i hope my kitten's like that when i get him!

  7. It won't hurt him a bit. You've got a very unusual kitten, but he'll be fine.

  8. I think he'll be fine. He might get the runs from the soap, but other than that just watch him closely.lol
